Early demo tracks and lost songs unlocked!
Fall into you first ever demo (4.1 mb)

When I write songs I usually stick them down ROUGHLY to give me an idea of structure and so other people can learn them. This is the first 'Fall into you' version I made complete with crap singing and harmonies. Its a lot tamer than the EP version and quite interesting to hear how the song evolved as other people got involved.

Lucy last night rehearsal recording (4.5 mb)

Recording rehearsals is good for many reasons - this is possibly the last time we ever played with Lucy at Alma and the last thing we wrote with her - pretty damn funky and shame we don't have a studio recording. Pretty damn rough to say the least, we're making the lyrics up as we go and it never did get a chorus written.

Didn't really check the end when making the mp3 so there's loads of talking at the end.

Still, a worthy addition to the barrington archive of lost songs

Why can't you see demo (1.2 mb)
Just before Lucy left we were writing all sorts of more 'dance' ish numbers, and this was one of the few ones we put down a rough idea.
A real pain to remember the lyrics for the chorus believe me.

Heaven sent demo (2.3 mb)
Another shit song that we got Jen to sing for a while in rehearsals until she left. Here's my demo of it - again rather shite but still quite catchy. In a shit way.

Song with no name demo (1.5 mb)
I've written a lot of shit in my time, and this was on the border of crap and OK. It never made it into the barrington set list because:
a) Jen left
b) It still is a bit shit.

Full Gig unlocked!

Me and Adam played a sneaky acoustic gig at the Joiners on Friday July 30th, 2004. It was such a laugh we thought we'd let you listen to the whole unedited live desk recording, banter, bad singing, cock ups and all.

Adam and James demo tracks unlocked!

Adams big bag of scroat

Adams done many a track in his time. To him they're like laying eggs. Ask him about it...

We included a bonus track from Adam on the last two albums so in case you don't have them here's his latest greatest attempt at writing his musical about cadavers falling in love.

- Bitterless (6.5 mb)
Latest demo track from Adam (September 2004)

- Happy (3.5 mb)
Multimedia bonus track from 'Backseat Education' (2002)

- Beware low flying bricks (4.4 mb)
Bonus track from 'Recreation for Beginners' (2001)

James' hairy chicken fluff

James Tinney (All round nice guy) has taken to eating his own toenails recently - not only that but he's recorded some fine songs. Most of them are about some girl that dumped him several years ago and he still hasn't got over her yet and the tattoo of her name on his left ass cheeky is still weeping from his last attempt to self remove it using a hot pair of chopsticks and a brillo pad, but they're pretty fine none the less.

- I refuse to be cold (Original piano demo)
(5.6 mb Windows media)

- Hush now (original demo)
(6.2 mb Windows media)

barrington goes crazy remix stylee unlocked!

Fall into you - DDs Halfway to nowhere remix (5.8 mb)

Me and Lucy did a dance tune with the lyrics 'Fall into you' which was probably the original inspiration the band version of 'Fall into you'. You can download that version on the 'Other studio tracks' part of the website.

This is another remix of that idea by DD, who produces all our album tracks. Europop friendly! It's a cross between Daft Punk and... errr.. well.... you decide.

- Feeling good today (3.1 mb)
Steve from Smerins Anti Social Club bass player popped round Alma road and laid down a bass line he had been working on so I wrote a tune around it. Features John on drums and Libby on vocals. Never really got finished, but sounds OK so here it is!
